The Software
Group supports our customers worldwide who rely on IBM mainframes,
mid-range processors, personal computers and global networks to
conduct electronic commerce, collaboration and content hosting. The
Group enables e-commerce solutions and intelligent agent messaging
by supplying the software that supports data storage and retrieval,
data mining, digital libraries, and mobile & wireless

Architects in the Bethesda, MD area. Leadership-level, customer
facing experienced consultants with hands on design, development,
and delivery experience for a core team with a passion for making
IBM customers successful with our SW. Requires excellent
communication skills (oral and written) for mentoring: among our
team, within IBM, and for our external clients. Intellectual capital
creation highly valued. Must have deep skills in J2EE, OO
development, application server-based middleware implementations and
the desire to expand that knowledge. Candidate must be prepared for
50% travel. US Security clearance critical requirement for
consideration; TS/SCI and lifestyle poly preferred. Significant
experience with architecting, developing, testing, and delivering
solutions. Minimum of 3-5 Years of hands-on, customer facing
consulting experience with architecture and implementation of
middleware solutions. Major Field of Study:Computer Science or
equivalent. The following skills are necessary for this position: US
Security Clearance (TS/SCI and lifestyle poly preferred); OO Design;
Java, C++ programming; Development tools (e.g., WSAD); J2EE based
Application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic); EJB, XML implementation;
Performance and Tuning; Web Services/SOA; Database (one of DB2,
Oracle or Informix); and Communication skills (oral and written).
